Product Description
"Calcium Hydroxide", having CAS-No: 1305-62-0, and traditionally being called hydrated lime or slaked lime, is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula as Ca(OH)2. It is free flowing super fine super white powder, free from grits & other contaminations and is obtained when calcium oxide (quicklime) is "slaked" with water, to form "Hydrated Lime". Calcium Hydroxide is used in a wide variety of traditional & emerging applications, because of its chemical & physical properties. These are high quality optimum products, compliant to various compendiums, being diligently processed under good manufacturing practices. These products are free from all known allergens and do not contain any prohibitory or toxic chemicals or non-kosher ingredients. The usual shelf life of the product is three to six months from the date of manufacturing of batch. This grade of Calcium Hydroxide shall be compliant to the core specifications & requirement of the Analytical Reagents.

Versatile Industrial and Laboratory ApplicationsThis premium calcium hydroxide delivers exceptional versatility for industries such as water treatment, chemical manufacturing, food processing, laboratory analysis, construction, and pharmaceuticals. Its high purity and regulated particle size ensure consistent performance and reliable outcomes in specialty applications, ranging from water purification to food additive uses.
Strict Quality and Packaging StandardsWith a minimum purity of 98% and low magnesium and iron oxide impurities, this product adheres to stringent quality benchmarks, including IS 1540 and ASTM standards. Packaged in robust 25 kg or 50 kg HDPE bags, moisture content is kept below 0.5% to ensure optimal stability and longevity, making it suitable for global distribution and extended storage periods.
Safe Handling and Storage GuidelinesCalcium hydroxide should be kept in its original, tightly closed container and stored in a cool, dry place to preserve its properties for up to 12 months. Its non-toxic and odorless nature makes it safe for handling in various environments, though care is advised when handling due to its high alkalinity.
FAQs of Premium Calcium Hydroxide:
Q: How should Premium Calcium Hydroxide be stored for maximum shelf life?
A: It is best stored in a cool, dry environment in a tightly sealed HDPE bag to prevent moisture absorption and maintain its quality for up to 12 months from manufacture.
Q: What are the main benefits of using this calcium hydroxide in water treatment and food industries?
A: Its high purity and low impurities guarantee effective water purification and safe incorporation as a food additive, ensuring both safety and compliance with industry standards.
Q: When is calcium hydroxide typically used in industrial or laboratory processes?
A: It is commonly employed for water treatment, pH control, chemical synthesis, construction materials preparation, and as an additive in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
Q: Where can this premium grade hydrated lime be sourced or purchased in India?
A: You can obtain it through authorized dealers, distributors, exporters, manufacturers, suppliers, traders, and wholesalers operating across India.
Q: What is the recommended process for handling and disposing of calcium hydroxide?
A: Use protective equipment to avoid contact with eyes and skin. Dispose of waste in accordance with local environmental regulations, as the compound is stable but highly alkaline.
Q: How does the fine powder form and particle size benefit industrial applications?
A: The fine, consistent powder (with 99% passing 200 mesh) ensures rapid and even mixing, enhancing reactivity, process control, and efficiency in industrial and laboratory settings.
