Product Description
"Calcium Hydroxide", having CAS-No: 1305-62-0, and traditionally being called hydrated lime or slaked lime, is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula as Ca(OH)2. It is free flowing super fine super white powder, free from grits & other contaminations and is obtained when calcium oxide (quicklime) is "slaked" with water, to form "Hydrated Lime". Calcium Hydroxide is used in a wide variety of traditional & emerging applications, because of its chemical & physical properties. These are high quality optimum products, compliant to various compendiums, being diligently processed under good manufacturing practices. These products are free from all known allergens and do not contain any prohibitory or toxic chemicals or non-kosher ingredients. The usual shelf life of the product is three to six months from the date of manufacturing of batch. This grade of Calcium Hydroxide shall be compliant to the core specifications & requirement of the Chemical & Alkali Applications.

FAQs of Hydrate Lime:
Q: How should Hydrate Lime be stored to maintain its quality?
A: Hydrate Lime should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from acids, chemicals, and moisture. Proper storage helps maintain its stability and effectiveness for up to 24 months from the manufacturing date.
Q: What are the main uses and benefits of Hydrate Lime in industry?
A: Hydrate Lime is widely used for water treatment, soil stabilization, construction, and as a chemical flocculant. Its ability to raise pH, improve soil properties, and facilitate purification offers significant benefits in industrial, environmental, and agricultural sectors.
Q: When should personal protective equipment be used while handling Hydrate Lime?
A: Personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety goggles, and masks should be worn at all times when handling Hydrate Lime to prevent skin or eye contact and to avoid inhaling fine particles, as it is caustic.
Q: Where is this Hydrate Lime manufactured and supplied from?
A: This Hydrate Lime is manufactured and distributed in India. It is available through dealers, distributors, exporters, manufacturers, suppliers, traders, and wholesalers across the country and for export.
Q: What is the recommended process for using Hydrate Lime in water treatment?
A: For water treatment, Hydrate Lime is typically dissolved in water to create a slurry or solution. Its high alkalinity (pH 12-13) helps neutralize acidity and remove impurities, making water cleaner and safer.
Q: What packaging options are available for Hydrate Lime?
A: Hydrate Lime is available in convenient 25 kg, 50 kg, and bulk bags, allowing flexible packaging solutions for both small and large-scale industrial or agricultural requirements.
